Precautions for Fan Use
风机使用注意事项：
1、 Correct selection and application of fans
Before selecting, it is necessary to clarify the specific purpose of the fan, draw a pipeline route diagram, and obtain the required flow rate and system resistance. Then choose the appropriate fan.
2. Insufficient or excessive flow occurs when the fan is first used, mainly due to deviations in the calculation of system resistance or the selected fan working in the fluctuation zone; If it gradually decreases during long-term use or suddenly decreases in a short period of time, it is mainly due to blockage in the pipeline network;
3. After the installation of the fresh air fan, insufficient or excessive flow occurs during formal operation, and the main reasons are as follows:
① The actual resistance value of the pipeline network differs significantly from the calculated value;
② When selecting a fan, the influence of the fan's own total pressure deviation was not considered. When the actual total pressure of the fan is a positive deviation, the flow rate increases; If the deviation is negative, the flow rate decreases.
When the fan is newly installed and starts to operate officially, or when there is excessive or insufficient flow during use, one of the following methods can be used to eliminate it:
① Adjust the flow rate using a throttling device.
② Adjust the fan flow rate by changing the fan speed.
③ Adjust the flow rate of fans with higher or lower pressure in the country.
④ By changing the resistance coefficient of the pipeline network, the resistance can be adjusted to regulate the flow rate.
2、 Installation, adjustment, and operation of fans
（1） Installation and adjustment
- The installation foundation should be flat and have sufficient strength and rigidity; Ventilation fans and electric motors should be equipped with rain shelters to prevent products from being placed outdoors or sinking into muddy water.
2. Before installing the fan, a comprehensive inspection of all components should be carried out to see if the fog and accessories are complete, if the connections between each part are tight, and if the rotating parts are flexible.
3. Check that there are no tools or debris falling into or left inside the casing and other enclosures;
4. The weight of the inlet and outlet gas pipelines of the fan (especially the induced draft fan for furnaces) should not be added to the fan, and the axial level should be ensured to avoid the loss of lubricating oil and the burning of bearings caused by axial tilt.
5.After the installation of the fan is completed, use your hand or lever to move the impeller and check for any tightness or collision. Only when the transmission is flexible can the trial run be carried out.
6. When installing and maintaining non-A transmission fans in the future, it is necessary to measure the coaxiality between the fan main shaft and the motor shaft, as well as the unevenness of the end face of the pulley or coupling. The coaxiality tolerance between the motor and the fan: the radial displacement should not exceed 0.05mm, and the axial tilt should not exceed 0.2/1000; The pulley is not allowed to tilt or swing, and the inclination should not exceed 0.2/1000
7. The overall factory unit can be directly placed on the foundation, and whether to add shock absorbers depends on the specific situation: flexible connection fans are used for the inlet and outlet, and it is recommended to install foot shock absorbers with appropriate load capacity; Otherwise, design the foundation according to the 'Code for Design of Power Machine Foundations'.
8. It is necessary to clarify what type of lubricant is used to lubricate the uranium bearing box. Newly manufactured fans lubricated with grease can run for 2 months before replacement; For fans lubricated with lubricating oil, regardless of whether the bearing box already has oil, the height of the lubricating oil level added to the bearing box should be carefully checked to be slightly higher than the centerline of the oil mirror. It is recommended to use 30 # engine oil as the lubricating oil.
The induced draft fan drive group has two cooling methods: air cooling and water cooling. The air cooling method should ensure that there are no obstacles around the air cooling fan; The water cooling method requires an external cooling water circuit, which should be unobstructed and leak free. The connected water pipes should be made of flexible hoses to prevent vibration cracking. The inlet pressure should be ≤ 0.25MPa and the flow rate should be 20.4/h.
（2） Operation
After the installation and commissioning of the fan, a trial run must be conducted before it is officially put into operation. The power of the motor equipped with the fan is the reserve amount of shaft power required by the fan under selected operating conditions plus mechanical transmission losses, not the required power of the fan in any state. The starting current shall not exceed 6.5 times the rated current. Electric motors are not allowed to exceed their rated current, and the input circuit of the motor must have overload protection devices.
1. Requirements for the trial operation of axial flow fans
(1) The direction of the electric motor should be correct, and the number of blades, installation angle, and motor power should comply with the provisions of the random document; There shall be no pollutants left in the fan duct
(2) Fully open the regulating valve or baffle;
(3) By manually turning the impeller, the fan should be able to rotate flexibly;
(4) All personnel should stay away from the inlet and outlet ducts of the fan;
(5) After the fan is started, monitor all parts for any abnormal phenomena. If there are any abnormal phenomena, stop the machine immediately (6) and adjust the throttle valve. The monitoring current should not exceed the rated current of the motor;
(7) Stop the machine and recheck if all components are functioning properly;
(8) If there are no abnormal conditions, test run for about 1 hour; Put it back into formal use
2. Requirements for the trial operation of centrifugal fans
(1) Close the air inlet control door and slightly open the air outlet control door
(2) Check the gap size of each part of the fan unit, and ensure that there is no collision between the rotating parts. All fixing bolts must be tightened;
(3) Check if the bearing lubricating oil is fragrant and intact
(4) Check whether the fan pulley, belt or coupling is installed reliably and meets the technical requirements
(5) Check if the cooling system is in good condition;
(6) Rotate the rotating parts by hand, and they should be flexible and unobstructed;
(7) Jogging the fan, pay attention to the correct rotation direction of the impeller;
(8) During the start-up process of the fan, all personnel should stay away from the fan and closely monitor the operation of various parts of the unit. If there is strong noise or severe vibration, the machine should be stopped immediately to check the cause and eliminate it. (9) When the starting characteristics of the fan reach normal state, gradually open the inlet and outlet regulating valves until the specified load is met, and pay attention to monitoring the motor current to ensure that it does not exceed the rated current of the motor
(10) Stop the machine and recheck if all components are functioning properly;
(11) If there are no abnormal conditions, try running for about an hour; Put it back into formal use.
（3） Precautions for Parking
(1) Usually, the ventilation fan should be stopped with a light load, and after stopping, the exhaust valve should be fully closed
(2) When using cooling water, turn off the cooling water after parking;
(3) When transporting harmful gases, attention should be paid to preventing any leakage from any part to the outside;
(4) The induced draft fan that transports high-temperature gas must stop running when the gas temperature inside the fan casing drops below 100 ℃;
(5) When parking for a long time, rust inhibitors should be applied appropriately to areas that are prone to rusting;
(6) When parking for a long time, the water in the cooling water circuit should be drained to prevent winter plums from freezing or rusting at low temperatures
(7) When parking for a long time, the rotor should rotate 180 ℃ at regular intervals to prevent static deformation and bending of the main shaft;
(8) Even if parked for a long time, the fan should be regularly maintained and serviced
3、 Maintenance of fan
In order to avoid human induced failures and accidents caused by improper maintenance, prevent natural failures and accidents in fans, motors, and other aspects, and fully utilize the effectiveness of spare parts to extend the service life of equipment, it is necessary to strengthen the maintenance and upkeep of fans.
（1） Fan maintenance system
1. It can only operate when the fan equipment is completely normal.
2. Regularly remove dust, dirt, water and other impurities from the fan and conveying pipeline, and prevent rusting,
3. Repairs that are not prepared for the fan are not allowed to be carried out during operation.
（2） Precautions for normal operation of the fan
If it is found that the flow rate is too high, does not meet the usage requirements, or requires a smaller flow rate in a short period of time, a throttling device can be used for adjustment.
2. Regularly check the sensitivity of thermometers and oil gauges
3. If any abnormal phenomenon is found during the driving, parking or operation of the fan, it should be checked immediately,
4. For minor faults discovered during inspection, the cause should be promptly identified and efforts should be made to eliminate or handle them; If a minor fault cannot be eliminated, it should be avoided from developing into a major fault, otherwise it should be repaired immediately.
5. In addition to replacing the lubricating oil after each disassembly and repair, the rolling bearings should also be inspected regularly (about 3 months) to check the contact between the rollers and the raceway surface, and to replace (or add) lubricating oil (grease).
